Chancery Suits; Court Paper, 1754 - 1791 Batcheldors Vs Batcheldors Joseph Batcheldors, Benjamin Batcheldors and Henry Batcheldors and Elizabeth Batcheldors, Infants under 21, by Joseph Batcheldors their next friend (their uncle MAM) state that Samuel Batcheldors had a wife, Sarah (Catherine MAM) Batcheldors and 6 children to wit: Samuel, James, Jacob, Joseph, Benjamin and Henry Balcheldors (the father of the above Henry Batcheldors and Elizabeth Batcheldors.) Samuel Batcheldors' will was dated 10 Aug 1742. Sons Samuel Batcheldors, the eldest, and James Batcheldors were appointed executors. Mrs Katherine Batcheldors is dead along with James Batcheldors and Jacob Batcheldors who died without issue. Henry Batcheldors, the son , died intestate leaving Henry Batcheldors and Elizabeth Batcheldors as his heirs. Samuel Batcheldors, the younger , has died leaving John Batcheldors and Elizabeth Batcheldors who is now Elizabeth Valentine, the wife of Jacob Valentine and they are executors of Samuel Batcheldors, the younger, decd. This is a bit hard to follow but: Sam and Catherine Vallott Batchelder had 6 children who survived to adulthood - Sam, James, Jacob, Joseph, Ben, and Henry. Sam and James were the executors of Sam, Sr's will. James and Jacob along with their mother Katherine Vallott Batchelder Stiff are dead by 1766. James and Jacob left no issue. Son Henry has died leaving minors Henry and Elizabeth. Son Sam, Jr has died leaving wife Elizabeth who next married Jacob Valentine and children. Son Joseph has a son Benjamin and a must have had a son Joseph and they may be the first two mentioned. MAM
